Stephen Legan MBACP
My core values as a person and a therapist include, meeting people with compassion, empathy and respectful curiosity, understanding people holistically, nature connection, and working with people to get from where they are, to where they want to be.
I have engaged in, and continue to engage in a lot of conversations with people who work with and witness other people’s traumatic experiences and distress. I have seen, heard, understood and experienced the effects that Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, Moral Distress, and Secondary / Vicarious Trauma can have on mental health, physical health and relationships.
These core values, conversations and experiences inspire the direction of my professional development. In addition to my Diploma in a Pluralistic Approach to Counselling, my extensive extra-curricular study and CPD focus on increasing my understanding of Secondary / Vicarious Trauma, Moral Distress, Compassion Fatigue and Burnout; and developing a body of effective tools so that I can offer a flexible and personalised therapeutic experience.

I am a registered member of the BACP, and work to their Ethical Framework.
